This site answers one question for each mobile game it covers: what can you actually play without paying, and what does the rest cost?

MapRaiders never appears inside a list of picks. Where it is relevant, it sits in a separate box labelled "From our studio", and we describe it only as what it is today: a project in development that is accepting beta registrations, not a finished mobile game.
How picks are made
We do not rank games by how fun they are. This site looks at cost and access only. For every game we name, we check the following, using official sources:
1. Free scope
What exactly costs nothing: the download, the whole game, a base game, certain modes, or only a trial. We read the developer's own description and the official store listing, and we quote the official wording where it matters (for example, "basic gameplay is available at no cost").
2. Ads
Whether the game shows ads, to whom, and whether a purchase or membership removes them. We accept an ad-free claim only from the developer, the publisher, the official store listing, or an F-Droid listing with no "Ads" anti-feature. If no official source addresses ads, we write "not stated" and do not list the game as ad-free.
3. Purchases
What is sold: cosmetic extras, content, items, randomized items, passes or subscriptions. Where we quote a price, it comes from the US App Store on the check date and is labelled as such; prices vary by country and change over time.
4. Platform
Whether the answer is the same on Android and iOS. Some games are free on one and paid on the other, and we state that for each platform separately.
5. Access
What else is needed to play: an account, a permanent internet connection, location services, or a subscription to another service.

- Official game and developer websites, including support pages and FAQs
- Official store listings on Google Play and the Apple App Store
- F-Droid listings, including their anti-feature labels
- Official documentation and source repositories for open-source games
- Official help centers of subscription services
We link to those official pages, never to wikis, fan sites or affiliate aggregators. We have not hands-on tested other studios' games, and we do not publish ratings, scores, player counts or reviews. We earn nothing from the outbound links.
